I went to Ottawa, Canada in January for visa stamping. I got Visa done.
On that day, I had seen most of the people attended for stamping are indians. Everyone was given visa.
Stamping is pretty easy at Ottawa. They dont ask you much questions. If one has all the required documents for visa stamping, its very easy to get stamping at ottawa.

Did the office say that you are granted visa and the passport will be mailed. I know in Mumbai consulate, you can collect the stamped-passport the same evening.
NewDelhi consulate will have an email address, email them and check. otherwise if you are there in the city visit the consulate and enquire.
Just my thoughts.All the best.
THe process has changed the passport are now delivered the next day between 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Mumbai consulate no longer delivers the passport the same day of interview.

Yes. This is an old case.
Isn't assigning a later PD to a earlier PD substitute labor a mistake made by the USCIS? If I put in a request to USCIS to correct this error, will it help?

it won't correct, as this practice has been long stopped. You may be in trouble for sure. I know you must have discussed this with your lawyer and now asking this on forum. If not, consult one. But if I would have been in your place, I will not go back to CIS on this. There may be some more wait but you must have EAD/AP, so use it and wait for your turn. Do not complicate your case. Its up to you & your lawyer. Best Luck!

Several of us received soft LUD on I-485 during April 2nd week through 1st week of May, there are several threads discussing that.

Remember, if you leave US before AP is approved, you cannot use it to return back to US. On the other hand, if its approved and if its postal delay, and you left right after it got approved, then you can make arrangement to send it to you overseas and use it to enter US.

My employer has not provided copy of labor or I-140.
I am not planning to use AC-21 as my employer and work profile is good. But say if there is some thing unplanned happens, and if I need to change jobs, what can I do?

As per the information I received yesterday afternoon, IV's fax provider had already sent about 21,000 faxes and another 17,000+ were in the queue waiting to be sent. I just hope the fax provider's computer/fax machine does not overheat and burn :D
About 385 people had already clicked for sending faxes. This means that each senator will get atleast 385 faxes from IV. Not bad at all.
At the same time it just means that less than 30% of the members faxed.
The rest of the members of IV, what would make you guys participate in such activities in future? Is clicking the mouse 4 times that difficult? We really need to know what will spur you guys to do something FOR YOURSELF? Will you move only if you are told by the government to pack your bags?
Please let us know what we can do to get you involved?

I have found a site that calculates the focal length:

I have just checked the focal length at the wide angle end of the scale using a tape measure and got surprisingly close (7.02mm) agreement with the manufacturer's figure (7mm). With that, I can now find where on the scale the standard (50mm) length would be - just for interest's sake.

You have to use I-824 if you change the consulate, if it is a consular case. If your I-94 is extended within america, there is no need. However because of PIMS, it is better to initiate a I-824 and get confirmation before proceeding for stamping. It is better to check your lawyer to get the right legal advise.

After 180 days of filing (around Nov 2004) I left my sponsoring company and joined another company with similar Job responsibility (to avail AC21), But didn't get my H1b transferred to new company. My new job require Master degree and 5 years of experience. I have acquired my master degree before joining my new company. I got married recently and Ofcourse I can't file for my wife's i 485 since I am from India and visa numbers are not available.
Can I get my H1Bvisa transferred to new employer if he is willing to sponsor?
Can I file another i 485 under EB2 as my new job requires Master degree?

My thought was the same as yours in that by attaching my 485 receipt notice, and 140 approval notice when my spouse files for his 140/485, we can just inform USCIS at that time to connect our 485 applications. Based on that, once my spouse gets his green card, I would get mine as well.
I wasn't sure how it would work out if we waited for his 140 approval to come before we informed USCIS. Since he is from a non-retrogressed country, I was thinking that the safest approach would be to inform them sooner than later. You mentioned that I could file as a derivative once his 140 was approved. But the idea is not to file another 485 application for me. In my opinion that would confuse things further.
What steps are you taking in your case? I'm assuming that you and your spouse each have only one 485 application, each being independent of the other?
