My H4 spouse left the country for vacation on May 25 (before h4 expiry)
Attorney filed 7th year ext and I 539 on Jun14.
My 6th year of H1 ended on Jun 17.
The attorney was not reachable by HR or myself. HR calls me today about problem with H4 and the attorney wants to discuss. What the heck ? Do they file I-539 when some one is not in the country ? She and I always maintained proper status. What can be the problem? I am freaking out to get my h1 ext approval asap and bring her back to file 485. Now my head is exploding. Any clues ? I cant bear this suspense.

Also, if you are planning to start on your own you can only have a 'C' corporation but there will be two levels of taxation, meaning first the corporation's income will be taxed and then individual's income.
Whereas, if you partner with a US Citizen or a permanent resident you can start a 'S' corporation which only has single level of taxes.
But in my opinion if carefully thought and executed it still is worth it, as you would get some postive cashflow (hopefully), if you sit idle nothing. :)

I took some photos from a concert here in my city in Brazil.
The band is Bar�o Vermelho (http://www.barao.com.br/) (http://www.barao.com.br%29), they are very famous here and the songs are great.
I used a friend�s nikon 50mm 1.8D in all photos, because i just have one len (18-70mm).

If you see data.
Approvals started happening only in JUNE, JULY, AUG, SEP.
So all applications till first few weeks of JUNE have got VISA numbers and are getting approved.
Those who filed after JUNE 15th, need to wait till next week i.e Oct 1, to get VISA assigned.
But only those current in Oct will get VISA number assigned.
Also worry is they may take it easy and wait till next May/June to start the RUSH or if they keep the pace, then the july fiasco is acutally a boon to all waiting . Imagine, the GC process time is 3-4 months now instead of years.
Things have definitely changed for better at USCIS due to fiasco.

Mike Huckabee is fast emerging as the leading Republican Presidential Candidate, and has a commanding lead in Iowa.
While all other leading Repub contenders: McCain, Guiliani, Romney and Thompson, have expressed support for strengthening and increasing high skilled immigration, not much was known about Huckabee as he was in State Government previously.

No one can file I-485 without the PD for that person is current in the visa bulletin.
You can replace your previous wife with a new wife at home, not with USCIS. !!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to know how should one modify the immigration petition again after divorce and second marriage. Can the second wife name be added to 485 immediately or wait for the PD to become current? And how about EAD?

My wife is planning to travel on AP while H1B is pending administrative processing after a Chennai Consulate interview. We have submitted the required information but she needs to rejoin work and can't wait beyond our existing travel plans.
Has anyone gone through a similar situation. Should we be having any port of entry concerns?

Im in the same boat as you. I just bought a D70 and it came with almost the same exact len kit. Ive had lots of fun/luck witht he 70-300mm at my kids softball games. I got some great shots of the kids at the plate , running, fielding etc...
Back to your original question....I just bought a magazine this week by ShutterBug - Digital Photography How-To Guide. One of the articles is about choosing the next lens for your digital SLR. Well worth the price for us rookies :p
I need some serious help with my D50 equipment. I have no experience at all with SLR cameras, and have recently bought a bundle consisting of a Nikon D50 and a Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED AF-S Dxlens. Now I am interested in buying another lens (The Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6 AF Zoom Lens) in hope that these two lenses would suit my needs in amateur photography. I intend to photo landscapes, portraits and some ''macro'' (flowers and some insects). So, I would like to know if these lenses are an acceptable choice, having in mind that I can't afford to buy some expensive lenses, as my average monthly salary almost amounts to the price of these cheap ones. Thanks.
