FACT: Apple doesn't access the database cache
Is that a fact because Apple said so? Or because someone can actually prove it?
Their software patents would at least suggest they planned on using it.

Fivepoint's argument is akin to complaining that the slaves weren't paying their fair share of the taxes, and the plantation owners were paying far too much.
The top earners have almost all of the wealth in this country, they should be paying almost all of the taxes. If they were paying too much, wouldn't the wealth disparity be shrinking?

just to clear something up. This right now appears to be a text-based phone. I don't think Wu is talking about iChat AV functionality. Some other sites (of much, much less accuracy) have been claiming that the iPhone would be able to do videoconferencing and whatnot, but currently there isn't any good evidence to support this, and in my opinion it doesn't look like current 3G GSM cellular networks simply don't have the duplex bandwidth to deliver that kind of content. (and 4G is still a ways off)

I'm not blaming woman for being raped, don't get me wrong. In fact i know that a lot of times it doesn't matter what the attire is.

The logic remains problematic. It's like arguing that someone who was just in a car accident increased their chance of getting hurt by driving on the road in the first place. You are indeed blaming the victim.

I think the real reason he's leaving is that he is frustrated that Apple doesn't care about computers anymore
He's going back into Science, away from commercial products all together. A land where computers are tools, and the knowledge he brings from working on the OS will be used to make better computer models of complex ideas.
Maybe, just maybe, he was asked to join a really cool amazing research team.
If this has been a two year transition then it's probably not due to any unhappiness with Apple or direction. If it was the transition would have been weeks not years.

might sell my MB and ship it to buyer. local ups store says they have never had any instances where item arrived DOA. they said getting insurance is cheap but don't think i will need it. its $9 additional but seems like a good idea. i am surprised store said it is not a big deal. i figure spend the money. covers lost or damaged item. what if MB won't power up for buyer?

I was wondering how you can directly transfer Loops to the Keyboard, as in having up side by side, as I cant seem to find this.
I don't know what you mean with that, but you can't trigger loops from a MIDI keyboard if that's what you're asking.

Do I have to have OS X Server to enable this, as of now on regular OS X(Snow Leopard) I see no "Music" or "iTunes" sharing option.

One tip I have for those clients who want to change absolutley every little detail... explain that you are happy to change it all for an extra fee, and you'll even offer a lower hourly rate since you're not being asked to do anything creative, but remind them that they will end up with a site designed by an amateur to their personal, individual taste, rather than the site designed by a professional and designed to appeal to their whole customer base that they've already paid for.
Make sure you have a paper trail for all decisions. Obviously the original contract, but it's very important to repeat all verbal changes through email. Email records are very handy to point to and find, "oops, I did say that," or advise, "well, you did say that."

What, did Apple think that Verizon customers would warmly welcome someone who shunned them for 4 years? The customer is most important, shouldn'thave signed that exclusive contract with AT&T... relly stunted their growth in the CDMA market, people move on too...
